History
There is some confusion about the origins of the Platinum Cookies but, what is known for sure is that it’s a hybrid of OG Kush, Girl Scout Cookies and the South African strain Durban Poison. It is suspected that there might be some Cherry Pie thrown into the mix as well. Regardless, Platinum cookies & platinum scout are still touted as some of the most potent medical strains making the dispensary rounds today.
Platinum Cookies Genetics
Platinum Cookies strain is an indica dominant hybrid 60% indica to 40% sativa. The high is intense, especially for newbie smokers. These Platinum Cookies seeds grow and mature relatively quickly at 8-10 weeks. This is slightly faster than average for such a potent strain.
Effects
The buzz begins with warm and fuzzy waves surging throughout the body. The sativa element in Platinum Cookies keeps the high from penetrating too deep into your soul and brings a nice psychoactive buzz that balances the narcotic effects of the strain.
Harvesting during the eight week of flowering will give you a more awake and alert high. While waiting for the ninth or tenth week when the couch-lock amber crystals manifest.
Aroma & Flavours
The flowers are sage and olive green colored with some phenotypes exhibiting lovely purple tones. This is especially true during the final weeks of flower during the flush stage. The wonderful aroma from smoking Platinum Cookies weed is a powerful, earthy and sweet with fruit and spice notes that fill the room. The smoke has a thick and buttery mouth feel and the taste is piney, dank and sweet much like a proper OG kush but with an extra hit of berry fruitiness.

Growing Platinum Cookies Strain
Platinum Cookies is an average yielding plant commonly producing 12oz/m2 indoors and about 16oz per plant when grown outdoors. The buds are chunky, super compact and absolutely covered with rich trichomes. This is a healthy strain with good resistance to molds and insects. It produces very little excess leaf which helps to ensure that flowers receive ample light and makes for a quick easy trimming post-harvest.

Strong genetics
I have purchased seeds from seed king on two separate occasions now and have not been disappointed. They provide good genetics at a good price and even stand up to the test when looking for particular effects from different strains.
The platinum cookies is a very strong plant and doing very well in DWC hydro. Some of the best growth have seen in almost a dozen different strains I have grown over the years.
The mother is very stout with strong lateral branching very good for indoor grows.

Best Genetics
First time grower here. Sprouted with 0 plan and a cheap grow tent setup. Let me just tell you that these plants should be in the compost bin as I’m writing this. They were so fried from over feeding and dropping to the soil from overwatering. This went on for a solid week and a half when I started looking closer at what my plants were telling me. I did my research, devised a plan and now they’re on full track to being strong plants just after the first day of corrections!!

High Quality
I have grown Purple Punch, Koshur Kush, Blueberry, GDP, GSC, Hi/Low 25:1 CBD, and a few other strains from Foli Farms LLC, and I have to say- having used lots of different seed banks over the years- that Foli Farms LLC has had great genetics, and literally 100% germination so far. I just harvested Platinum Cookies and wanted to post a review.
I grew 2 PCs in 3g fabric pots in a 4x4x7 tent with 2 Sayhon 2000 watt (210 from wall) lights. First, as with all of the Foli Farms LLC strains I’ve tried, both plants were very healthy and vigorous. By harvest, one was 4’ tall, and the other was 3’. The shorter plant yielded 3.5 oz of super dense, frosty buds. Almost no popcorn. I am a heavy daily user of top shelf, and the first couple of times trying it I actually had some body/mind kind of disassociation I rarely ever feel. Just incredible. Both mental and physical. Must be in the high 20’s THC. Typical and awesome sour, skunky cookie taste and smell. Nice aftertaste of that sour cookie thing…The second plant, which I just harvested had a lankier shape with wider node spacing, but incredible big clusters of buds. Being 4’ tall, I’m expecting around 4oz. I’ll also post a review of the Foli Farms LLC GDP and GSC I just harvested, which are equally killer! With these seeds and the light set up, almost 20oz from 6 plants in 3g pots.

I previously had a great success with other strains like skywalker OG and Gorilla Glue 4 female phenos from Foli Farms LLC. So I was interested in trying platinum cookies and ordered. I was 0/5 with the entire pack of seeds. Not sure if the seeds were older as I didn’t change any germ procedures. But was a little bummed to not have any pop. Fast and discrete shipping was great though!

Greeeezy and Hungry
Never grown Platinum Cookies but love the taste and effect so thought I’d give her a try. Stretched more than I expected for an indica but I guess that’s the OG coming through?? These flowers were slower to develop than other strains in the garden this year and look to finish in mid-October (south SF Bay Area). You can push these girls pretty hard on feedings. They have a deep shiny green leaf that during flower becomes almost waxy looking, with the overall buds looking greasy. As flowers develop, impressive calyx to leaf ratio reveals itself, which I’m excited about because, well…who loves trimming?! Not this guy. Very lovely smell. Can’t wait to see if she finishes with some of those pretty purples…

Awesome genetics
I planted these on May 9, 2020, and it’s now July 12. I just transitioned to flower this weekend trying to grow a monster. For one, 5/5 seeds germinated and I kept the two best ones. Growing in 7 gallon DWC buckets under a Bestva 2k watt LED. The roots are massive and this plant gets hungry. Following the basic GH flora series schedule + calmag, floralicious plus, and rapid start. Plant drinks about 1.5 gallons of water a day now and grows like a beast. I am looking forward to the following weeks when flowers pop. Impressive seeds and plan to get more from this site later on.
