Really Good if High CBD-Low THC is What You Want
I’ve had good experiences with growing Cannatonic CBD and I thought I’d try this high CBD, minuscule THC strain to get more pure CBD oil for tinctures, rubs and dog treats. I grew it outdoors in SoCal in a 10g fabric pot. Popped seeds in mid April and harvested in early October. Plant was beautiful, and I topped and trained for a bush, and ended up with a 5’ plant that produced about 15oz of big, dense buds with very little popcorn. Easy to grow but had to stay on top of moth/caterpillar issues. Lost a few oz due to infested bud/bud rot (damn those moths!).
After curing, the buds smell citrus-earthy. Smoking it is a surprise: very mild, citrus type smoke. Not dense, oily like high THC strains. No cough. Like some have noted, it does not really get you high, but there is definitely a cerebral effect, and a good one! Just kind of a gentle sense of calm, well-being. A little glow…and very relaxed. A few hits adds length, but you never get ripped. Absolutely, this is for you if you want a little mental clarity “chill pill” for AM, exercise, reading, doing chores, etc. Coming from an old stoner who loves 25%+ THC strains, I like this, too! We don’t always want hard liquor, right? This is like a lite beer…
