Tropicana Cookies Origins
Tropicana Cookies is the creation of Oni Seed Co and Harry Palms of Blood Seed Co. Harry Palms bred Tropicana Cookies first. Oni Seed Co developed the second generation. Both varieties are highly praised, and most consider them one and the same. Tropicana Cookies was created by crossbreeding two legendary strains – Tangie and Girl Scout Cookies. Its genetics led to many similar strains, including Tropicanna Cookies, Tropicana Cookies F2, and MTN Trop.
Despite a CBD content of 0.5%, Tropicana Cookies has loads of therapeutic qualities. This is thanks to caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene terpenes. Though both parent strains have beneficial terpenes but it takes after Girl Scout Cookies the most. But when it comes to flavor, growth patterns, and effects, the Tangie genes lead the way.
Growing Tropicana Cookies Feminized Seeds
Tropicana Cookies strain seeds grow into cannabis plants that are sativa-like in height but indica-like in stature. In other words, genetics lead to tall plants with bushy and dense foliage. Light exposure and ventilation are essential – especially towards the middle and lower areas of the plant. Otherwise, you’ll experience a build-up of moisture which puts it at risk for pests, mold, and powdery mildew. Increase the light and airflow by pruning and topping.
Tropicana Cookies strain seeds are easy to manage and make the perfect strain for new growers. They respond well to both low-stress and high-stress training, adapting nicely to environmental factors. Depending on the phenotype, buds will either be predominantly purple with hints of green or green with hints of purple. Cooler temperatures during the early flowering stages will coax the purple hues out more. The pistils add touches of burnt orange, while a thick layering of cloudy, crystal-like trichomes creates a sticky, sugary appearance on its resinous buds.
These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the Fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors. We advise reading our germination instructions for guaranteed results from your marijuana seeds.
Preferred Climate
Tropicana Cookies strain clones and seeds can grow indoors, outdoors, and in a greenhouse. They enjoy a sunny, Mediterranean climate and grow well in soil, clay, and coco coir. Draw out purple tones by introducing it to cooler temperatures during the early days of flowering.
Tropicana Cookies strain clones and seeds also respond well in hydroponic and aeroponic growing systems. Indoor-grown cannabis may reach 2 feet high (over 70cm). Outdoors this cannabis can grow over 6 feet (180cm) tall.

Flowering & Yield
The flowering of your cannabis seeds begins around 4 or 5 weeks after vegetation. Indoors, it has a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks, with yields of roughly 17 oz per 3x3ft. Outdoors, your yield will be a decent amount – around 18 OZ/plant and be ready to harvest in late September or early October.
When growing this sativa dominant hybrid, use an 18:6 hour light schedule for the first 6 to 8 weeks. Then switch to a 12 hour light schedule to initiate the flowering stage.
